Falooda is a traditional Indian dessert made from layers of ice cream, milk, rose syrup, and vermicelli. Today, try this tropical twist mango falooda with a mango smoothie, ice cream, vermicelli, fresh mango, and rose syrup.

Ingredients
4tbspRose syrup
2tbspBasil seedsTakmaria or Chia seeds (soaked in 1 cup water until bloomed)
2cup Falooda noodlesglass or rice vermicelli
2scoopsVanilla Ice cream
¼cupChopped nuts cashews, pistachios, almonds
1cupJelloStrawberry or lemon (optional)
Instructions
Basil - In a bowl, soak basil seeds or chia seeds in water for 30 to 40 minutes until bloomed. Drain and set aside
2 tbsp Basil seeds
Noodles - Cook the glass noodles in water until soft - drain and set aside.
2 cup Falooda noodles
Smoothie - In a blender add the mango pulp, yogurt, sugar, and milk. Blend until smooth.
Assemble - In a tall glass 2 tbsp of jello (optional) - then add 2 tbsp of rose syrup- Top that with 2 tbsp of prepared basil seeds- Add 1/4 cup of cooked falooda noodles/vermicelli- Gradually pour the milk making sure not to disturb the rose syrup layer. - Finally, add 1 scoop of ice cream - Top with a generous garnish of chopped nuts Serve immediately. Pro tip - kids love jello so I used two types of jello in mine as you can see in my pictures
